New Thru 30 Day 3 March 10th, 2010
WOW …We are finished with the book of Matthew and 4 chapters into the book of Acts. I have never read the New testament at this pace and I must say that it is not only challenging but very refreshing! I literally felt like I was walking with Jesus through the book of Matthew because every step of his story was so clear in my mind. I had to fight back tears as I read about the arrest and Crucifixion of our savior Jesus Christ.
Here is the “key verse” Matthew 28:18-20 for day 3 ……….Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
After reading the book of Matthew as a follower of Jesus I am PUMPED up to obey this commission given to us by Jesus. Are you? Do you have a desire to fulfil the request that Jesus left you and I after his resurrection? NLC Let’s continue to do anything short of sin to reach people for Jesus!
