newthru30

The reading for our church wide New Thru 30 initiative officially begins today!

We’re reading through the New Testament in 30 days, and we’re excited to see how God speaks to us on this sprint through the Scriptures. We’ve made all of the resources available for anyone who wants to join us at www.nlc.tv . I sure hope you’ll be able to join us on this journey. A few things to keep in mind…You can download the full reading plan and even a study guide on our website (see link above). Everyday, for the next 30 days, I will be posting a thought or key verse based on that days reading. Be sure to check back everyday and feel free to leave a comment and join the conversation. Our prayer for this entire series is that we would gain a new sense of priority for God’s Word in our everyday lives. What are you hoping to get out of the next 30 days?

Can’t wait to reach day 30 and be able to celebrate this unique accomplishment. The thought of reading the same passages of scripture as all my friends at NLC is encouraging and gives me that extra push to keep going…

I am really excited to go through this. I think its a great oppertunity to go full on, hard core into the word of God. Im not sure if I heard it from church here or somewhere else. The man and wife were apart (dont remember why) and he kept writing her letters that she never read. The bible is our letters from God, how can we continue our relationship with Him unless we are reading His words, His heart. Doing it as a church will re-enforce accountability so we dont all slack off ;) I just finished my reading for today and it wasn’t nearly as awful as I thought itd be :P

I never thought that I could read a single page of the bible. It always seemed like another language. The last two days have shocked me. Not only am I able to read it, I’m able to understand it and relate it to my life. I’m finding new challenges to make myself a better person and to better know God. New thru 30 is changing my life.
