Thoughts… February 16th, 2010
Here are some more thoughts I taught my staff through last week along with two that I taught on in our all staff meeting today.
- A passion deficiency plague has hit the church and it’s called legalism and tradition!
I heard this somewhere and it stuck with me. We can’t reach people in 2010 with the same methods that worked in 1980. Same message never changes, but the methods must.
- If you feel like your life lacks purpose, remember God could be preparing you for what he’s already PREPARED for you!
I think leaders that try to skip the development stage of ministry become blinded by the vision in their heart rather than inspired by it.
- Sometimes the loudest leadership statement you could make is saying nothing at all!
This is something I had to learn the hard way….I think God is still trying to teach me something because in my quiet time today I had this thought and also this one…
- Every leader must realize that their voice is only effective till it’s no longer heard!
Leaders stop worrying about the non-essentials and begin to worry about the essentials. When your voice is always background music because you never let your team fail or make decision on their own…they won’t hear you when you say something that directs or protects the vision.
