What I Believe 2010 looks like for NLC January 25th, 2010
I’ve been thinking a lot about what God has in store for 2010 and I think I’m ready to talk about it. I know the cool thing is to post this blog on the first week of January but I needed to filter through some thoughts. So NLC’ers here are some of my thoughts on what I believe we are going to see in 2010.
-
A staff and leadership at NLC hungry for the Holy Spirit. A leadership that is consumed by the thought of a an authentic community of believers loving the community it’s in enough to do anything short of sin to see lives restored and saved by the Gospel message.
-
A leadership not interested in “saving face” but rather saving people.
-
A leadership that doesn’t compete with other churches, but completes other churches.
-
A leadership that doesn’t gossip or defend itself when people try to divide NLC, but rather stays focused on the vision God has called us to.
-
A leadership that is more concerned with repentance than attendance.
-
A leadership that has no desire to lead God’s church on yesterday’s innovation but rather new, Godly revelation.
-
A leadership that understands as NLC grows so will the critics but thankfully we are not living for them.
-
I believe we will see hundreds of people give their lives to Jesus and be baptized this year.
-
I believe we will see our “new” style of life groups explode!
-
I believe we will pay for the adoption of a child this year through Kaleo coffee…. www.kaleocoffee.com
-
I believe we will have our Boston location running with hundreds of people attending! I cannot wait for that!
-
I believe our Boston location will be our largest location by the end of this year…and will launch with over 500 in attendence.
-
I believe that Kaleo will be the most successful coffee house this area has ever seen….I know it’s the nicest!
-
I believe we will have the most intimate, authentic, worship experiences that you could imagine.
-
I believe new life long friends will be found.
-
I believe we will pay for the living expenses of a single mom for one year.
-
I believe we will change a community more than any other 2 year old church in this area EVER has!
-
I believe we will face trials that will make us stronger.
-
I believe people will gossip and lie about our intentions….and at times they might even be right.
-
I believe NLC will be reaching over 1000 people each Sunday by the end of 2010…and that may be low!
-
I believe marriages will be restored.
-
I believe addictions will become small compared to a HUGE God.
-
I believe kids will come home and parents hearts will be healed.
-
I believe parents will seek forgiveness for the way they have hurt their children.
-
I believe singles will find their lover
-
I believe the grace of God, which is NLC’s word for 2010, will be contagious.
-
I believe churches from all over the county not just NE will look to NLC and what God is doing through a 2 year old church in the least churched area of our county.
-
I believe our Kid City of 80-100 will explode and kids will not just learn about Jesus but become sold out to him.
-
I believe our youth group meeting at the hottest youth location this side of …whatever….and will explode.
-
I believe we will always be imperfect as long as I’m a part of this.
-
I believe we will make mistakes and need to ask for forgiveness.
-
I believe our volunteers need to be appreciated more….and we intend on doing that!
-
I believe our talent can take us further than our character and I’m desperate to not let that happen.
-
I believe we will need to be humbled.
-
I believe we will need to learn to care more.
-
I believe that NLC is one of the churches that is literally going to change the landscape of an entire region and I am blown away at the thought that it’s not only going to happen, but it is happening.
That’s all the time I have right now….we have some things planned in the next couple months that no one has ever seen done in this area! Can’t wait NLC… the best is yet to come…we’re still taxiing on the runway! Love you guys and am honored to be your servant.
